Custom Ammunition:
At
D9Firearms all of our custom ammunition is hand-loaded to exacting standards
using the finest materials. We have a wide selection of cartridge options to
meet all of your shooting needs.From game hunting to target shooting you will
find that our custom ammunition exceeds the performance of any commercially
available ammo for as little as half the price. Calibers range from .223 Rem to
.338 Lapua.
Quality Components and Manufacture
We start with LakeCity, Winchester,
Federal, or Lapua brass, which has been sorted and prepared for superior
performance and uniformity.
High quality, clean burning powdersare used,
specially selected for their high velocity potential at safe operating
pressures, and relative insensitivity to temperature. Powder charges are
extremely consistent from round to round and lot to lot.
Best quality, match grade primers are used. These primers have been
carefully selected for their ideal cup thickness, sensitivity and uniformity.
Relentless Quality Control
All of ourammunitionis checked usingprecision gauges and hand inspected for
flawless performance. Every configuration is subjected to rigorous and
frequent testing to ensure consistent results.
Packaging
We package our match and competitionammunition in
reusable composite ammunition boxes holding between 50 and 100 rounds depending
on caliber. All other ammunition is inserted tip down into a Styrofoam
tray and packaged in cardboard boxes holding 20 rounds. This ensures that the
bullet tips do not get damaged in transit.
Personal
Defense
Our
personal defense loads features solid copper Barnes M/LE bullets. The
M/LE bullet offers tremendous performance against barriers such as auto glass
and sheet metal. It is solid in construction, so there is no jacket to
separate from its core, as with traditional bullets. The bullet stays
intact after passing through intermediate barriers.
These
loads perform particularly well in shorter barreled carbines, because they are
designed to expand, not fragment. The expansion threshold for these
bullets is approximately 1800 fps. Even fired from a very short barreled carbine,
this expansion velocity threshold is maintained past 200 yds.
1 in 8" twist or faster barrels are required to stabilize this bullet in
5.56mm (0.223”).

Zombie Killer
Our
budget cartridge was designed for the 308 shooter looking for an economical way
to enjoy a trip to the range or for stocking up to defend against zombies,
skinnies, zippers, or squirters. They will typically feature surplus components
from other loading sessions and will not necessarily have matching head stamps.
Match+
Our
Match + grade cartridges deliverexcellent precision and utilize Sierra Match
King bullets. They are top quality loads ideal for match and general
precision shooting. The brass is meticulously inspected and prepared from
chamfering case necks to uniforming and deburring primer pockets.
These loads offer the following advantages over run of the mill FMJ rounds:
- Enhanced performance - The
Sierra Match King bullet is a proven performer, having been used with
great success by US armed forces overseas. Fragmentation is much
more reliable compared to FMJ rounds.
- Extended effective range -
In match barrels, hits out to 600 yds. and beyond are possible.
- Match Grade –½ MOA or better
accuracy at 100 yards is typical.
- Extreme uniformity due to careful
component selection and meticulous manufacture

Hunting
Our
hunting cartridges deliverdevastating terminal performance and deep penetration
for a broad range of game animals.These loads feature Nosler Partition bullets
which create a massive wound cavity.This results in the animal
dropping quickly since most go into shock after such a tremendous blow. Those
animals that do not go down immediately will soon succumb to blood pressure
loss and/or organ failure producing a quick ethical kill. (See we care what
PETA thinks.) Our hunting cartridges donot pass through like an arrow (high
weight retention, deep penetration bullets) but instead dump their energy where
it is most effective, inside the animal.

Varmint
Our Varmint line is most commonly used by precision oriented varmint
hunters. These cartridges have been proven in the field to provide exceptional
accuracy and a level of expansion that best suits varmint or predator
applications. They utilize bullets with jackets that are thinner at the nose
and have a polymer tip which expand quickly (impact velocity and animal size
will effect expansion results).

Sub-sonic
Our subsonic ammohas been optimized for use in conjunction with a
suppressor. These cartridges were designed for maximum
effectiveness in sound suppressed firearms by eliminating the sonic crack of a
bullet breaking the sound barrier.Please note that point of impact will
shift with the use of a suppressor and that subsonic ammo may not cycle
semi-automatic rifles.
** WARNING – It is the responsibility of the shooter to verify that the
bullet has exited the muzzle when using subsonic ammo in a gas operated
firearm.

Competition
Our
Competition grade cartridges take precision to the next level. They arethe
highest quality loadsintended for long range shooting. Only Lapua brass is used
and is meticulously inspected, weighed, segregated and prepared. Bullets are
also weighed and segregated. To improve long range ballistics, the bullets are
pointed then the tips (me plat) are finished and chamfered. The finest
benchrest primers are used for these loads to ensure uniform ignition of the
powder. You simply cannot find better ammunition than this.
