Hours of Operation:
D9Firearms is a private operation and we work by appointment only. We do not maintain a walk up or store front business and we strongly discourage anyone from casually dropping by without first speaking with D9. (Additionally Mrs. D9 does not take kindly to this and occasionally threatens Mr. D9 with cutting various parts of his manliness off.)
We are fully licensed by the state of Kansas to conduct business and we follow all local business guidelines of Overland Park and the State of Kansas. (Oh and for our federal friends at the BATF we strictly adhere to the policies of firearms acquisition and disposition.)
Transfers or Local Sales Hours of Operation
Since you’ve chosen D9Firearms to either procure or handle a firearms transfer for you we understand the immediate gratification of handling your new baby is not as critical as those rushing off to the big box store or local gun shop. With this in mind we try to schedule your transfer as quickly as possible based on availability of either party. (We occasionally have to travel or work late for our real job and may delay transfer for several days or towards the weekend.) However, once we confirmed your baby has arrived it’s locked up safely.
In general we are usually available on Saturdays to handle sales and transfers. We also try and schedule one evening a week to handle sales and transfers. Please understand that when we schedule transfers for week night we generally have a couple of clients in.
· Evening transfers are usually done between 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
· Weekend transfers are usually done between 9am – 3pm.
Phone Calls and Emails:
When emailing please add a topic in the subject line that helps us quickly identify what type of firearm or service you are looking for. Please allow for 3 days for an email response.
Since we’re not able to answer the phone during normal working hours we ask that you leave a message. Please include the following in your message:
1. Name, Rank, & Serial number.
2. Phone number (even if you think we know it, leave it twice and say it slow).
3. Item or service you are interested in.
4. Follow up with an email.
Feel free to contact us again and don’t apologize for thinking you’re bothering us. (Unless of course we’ve told you you’re bothering us, or you’re a general nuisance and know it, or your have a really stupid question like did you vote for Obama.) We’re in business to provide the best customer service possible, arm the world, and do it for profit.
· Phone calls are usually returned during 11:30am – 12:30pm and after 6pm (M-F)
· Saturdays we return the calls between 9am – 3pm.
With the recent volume of calls and emails we have found it more difficult to respond in the manner we have been accustomed to. One of our successes has been spending time with our clients to develop a relationship to learn your firearms needs. We would like to take this opportunity to ask for your understanding and patience when waiting for a response via phone or email.
Hours We Are Unavailable:
· Sunday – (For you heathens we try to attend church regularly and we need to spend sometime with Mrs. D9 or all hell breaks loose.)
· Monday – Boyscout night. We may be able to respond to some calls and emails.
· M-F 8am – 5pm. (We’re at our primary job.)
